Malasaña Apartment

We’re in Madrid, and by complete accident, in the hippest bario of the city, Malasaña.  This neighborhood was the epicenter of the “movida,” the post-Franco counter-culture movement that arose in the 1980’s.  I suppose it was the Haight-Asbury of Spain in that era.

It would be better if I were the same age as the majority of the people in Malasaña, but I’m enjoying this quirky, artsy area anyway.
