The old town of Cadiz is wrapped on three sides by a seaside walk.  The shore breakwater is made from masses of identical poured concrete blocks, piled at random.

I love that the massive concrete blocks seem to have been tossed along the shore like dice.

In Valencia and also in Cadiz, there are plenty of dogs, but cats are not seen in the streets as often.  Seems that the cats band together in colonies, and we found them in among the breakwater blocks where they where they seem to co-exist relatively peacefully with the terns and gulls.

The breakwater looks perilous to human feet, but, as always, the cats look entirely at home.

In Cadiz, the sea is always near, and at La Caleta beach yesterday it was in your face and all over your body if you weren’t careful.

These pics with clear blue sky are ok, but a few clouds make more dramatic pictures.

I love that the sea has so many colors.
